NEET

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test

Practice papers and tests for NEET

NEET is the single entrance route to almost every medical, dental and allied undergraduate seat in the country. Physics carries the same weight as Biology per question but is where most medical aspirants lose marks, because the syllabus is broad and the paper is unforgiving on speed. It is a pen-and-paper exam, and the marks are close enough at the top that a handful of physics questions can move a rank by thousands.

Duration
3 hours 20 minutes in the recent pattern.
Papers
One paper covering Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
Mode
Pen-and-paper, OMR sheet.

Question formats

  • Physics — Four-option MCQs
45 questions in the recent papers. Every question is a chooser; NEET sets no numerical-entry questions.
  • Chemistry — Four-option MCQs

Deemed and private universities

Fees differ enormously between institutes — compare before ranking preferences.

Deemed medical universities · Private medical colleges

Grouped by band rather than ranked one by one, because the ordering changes yearly and a branch at one institute is often worth more than a seat at a higher-ranked one. Check NIRF and the official counselling data before setting your preferences.

We do not publish closing ranks for this exam. Its counselling data is not released in a form we can verify institute by institute, and a plausible-looking invented number is worse than none — take the cut-offs from the conducting body's own counselling reports.
