MHT CET
Maharashtra Common Entrance Test
Practice papers and tests for MHT CETMHT CET is Maharashtra's state engineering and pharmacy entrance test. Its defining feature is that there is no negative marking, which changes strategy completely: every question should be attempted. The paper is also drawn substantially from the Maharashtra state board syllabus, so a candidate preparing only from NCERT can be caught out by topics the state board covers differently.
- Duration
- 3 hours (90 minutes per group of subjects in the recent pattern).
- Papers
- PCM for engineering, PCB for pharmacy and allied programmes.
- Mode
- Computer-based test.

Where this exam leads
The autonomous and government institutes
COEP Technological University, Pune · VJTI Mumbai · ICT Mumbai (for its own programmes) · Government College of Engineering, Amravati / Karad / Nagpur
The leading private colleges
Sardar Patel Institute of Technology · K. J. Somaiya · Vishwakarma Institute of Technology · PICT Pune · Cummins College of Engineering
University departments and other private colleges
Mumbai University and Pune University affiliated colleges across the state
Grouped by band rather than ranked one by one, because the ordering changes yearly and a branch at one institute is often worth more than a seat at a higher-ranked one. Check NIRF and the official counselling data before setting your preferences.
We do not publish closing ranks for this exam. Its counselling data is not released in a form we can verify institute by institute, and a plausible-looking invented number is worse than none — take the cut-offs from the conducting body's own counselling reports.
